K.K.I.D.S. students are graded on their knowledge and technique of syllabus

and are awarded colour coded belts in the following order, with a minimum training period between each.

BEGINNER TO WHITE  (3 months)

RED (3 months)

YELLOW (3 months)

ORANGE (3 months)

GREEN (4 months)

BLUE (4 months)

PURPLE (6 months)

BROWN (3RD KYU) (6 months)

BROWN (2ND KYU) (6 months)

BROWN (1ST KYU) (6 months)

BLACK (12 months)

1ST DAN (2 years)

2ND DAN (3 years)

3RD DAN (4 years)

    4TH DAN ... (5 years)

All students must hold a current license.

Club instructors must be 2nd kyu and above.

Only Dan grades can become judges or referees on attaining the appropriate qualifications.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT  purchased from your K.K.I.D.S. instructor

(required for the purposes of Health and Safety regulations and your insurance)

must be worn at all times during sparring from red belt upwards.
