Master M.T. Middleton

5th Dan Wado Ryu Karate, 4th Dan Karate Do Freestyle - Founder of K.K.I.D.S.
Master M.T. Middleton began his martial arts career in the seventies, training with the Huddersfield Judo club in West Yorkshire. His thirst for martial arts knowledge led him to join a Full Contact Karate club (now termed 'Kickboxing') where he was taught both full contact and Wado Ryu by his Sensei Bob Sykes and his brother, Tony.
Still training in both Judo and at the Karate Warehouse, he also joined a Tae Kwon Do club on the outskirts of Huddersfield, but despite his keen interest, it failed to meet expectations and he turned to Wado Kai instead.
Senseis from both clubs drew from Middleton's vast knowledge and achievements, as he did them - and then, as if to ice the cake, he enlisted himself to one last club, a large organisation which trained in Wado Ryu, Freestyle Karate, Kickboxing and weaponry.
Progressing higher in his ability and belts, now 'Sensei' Middleton worked hard at his teaching skills and taught full time here for 10 years.
In August 2005, he took advice and guidance from his previous mentors and launched his own organisation, K.K.I.D.S., taking great pleasure in sharing his experience and knowledge with each and every one of his students, offering encouragement and support.
Through this support, K.K.I.D.S. has taken students to National and International competitions, gaining numerous trophies and medals including 5 World Champions in little over 12 months.
Now a 'Master', Middleton himself has won varied medals and trophies including 3 times World Medal Holder, American National Champion (gained in Las Vegas) and most recently was selected to receive a World Martial Arts Award in Atlantic City, USA in January 2007.
His endeavours have led him to meet huge names in the world of martial arts amongst whom are Chuck Norris, Don Wilson, Silio Simac, Bill Wallis and Yan Min Chen (Shaolin Monk).
"My endeavour to explore different martial arts and what they can achieve has given me the widest, and deepest knowledge, which I yearn to share with others. As I learn more, the more I want to teach people with the same enthusiasm"
- Master M.T. Middleton.
